HomeRegistered Office Address

A registered office that meets the rules

A Singapore registered office for your company, with mail opened, scanned and passed to you. It comes as part of the Comply package rather than as an address sold on its own.

What is included

What the address has to do

A registered office is a legal requirement with conditions attached, not a mailing label. Those conditions are where cheap addresses fail, and the consequence lands on your company.

A Singapore address on record

ACRA holds one address for your company, and it is the one printed on your business profile. It has to be in Singapore and it has to be a real location, which is why a PO box is refused.

Three hours, every business day

Opening to the public for at least three hours on each business day is what the law asks. An address nobody staffs fails that test, and the failure shows the day a process server or an ACRA officer turns up.

Mail opened and scanned

Letters from ACRA and IRAS arrive here on paper. Yours are opened, scanned and sent to you, and the originals are kept. Ask any provider how fast they do this, because a notice sitting in a tray is worth nothing.

Statutory records kept properly

Registers of members, directors and controllers are kept with the registered office, the RORC included. When ACRA asks to inspect them, they sit in one place and current, rather than scattered across three inboxes and a laptop.

Corppass notices watched too

Deadlines and notices reach companies two ways, through the registered office and through Corppass. Paper alone is half the picture, so you hear what has landed in the Corppass account as well as what came in the post.

Change of address filed

Moving the registered office means a filing with ACRA, and so does changing the hours recorded against it. Switching to us from another provider, the notification and the timing of it are handled from this side.

How it works

Switching, or starting from scratch

New companies get the address at incorporation. Companies moving from another provider have one extra step, and the order matters, so no day passes without a valid address on record.

  1. Confirm the company details

We take the company name, UEN and current registered office, then check what is outstanding at ACRA. Overdue annual returns follow a company to its new address rather than staying behind with the old provider, so it is better to know now.

    About 15 minutes
  2. Sign the engagement letter

The letter covers the address, the mail handling and the rest of the Comply package, since the address is not sold on its own. Fees and what sits inside them are set out in full before anything is filed at ACRA.

    Same day
  3. ACRA notification filed

The change of registered office is lodged with ACRA, with the opening hours recorded alongside it. Your business profile updates, and that updated profile is what banks, customers and IRAS see from then on.

    Usually same working day
  4. Redirection and first scans

Tell your bank, IRAS and anyone else who writes to you about the new address, because they hold their own records. Post arriving here is scanned and sent on, and you get a written note of who handles forwarding and how quickly.

What it costs

Inside Comply, not sold alone

The Comply package includes the registered office and mail scanning together with a named company secretary, AGM documents, the annual return, statutory registers, financial statements and XBRL, ECI and Form C-S.

The address is not sold on its own, and we would rather say so than let you find out at the invoice. It arrives with the compliance work attached, which is the point, since the letters landing there are what create the deadlines.

Common questions

What people ask about the address

Is a PO box acceptable as a registered office?

No. The registered office must be a Singapore address open to the public at least three hours on each business day, and a PO box satisfies neither half of that. ACRA needs a place where documents are served and records inspected, which a mailbox does not provide.

Do I have to use my home address?

No, and think hard before you do. The registered office appears on your ACRA business profile, which anyone is free to buy, so your home address becomes public and stays that way. A service address keeps your home off the register, and letters still reach you by scan on the day they arrive.

What happens to letters from ACRA and IRAS?

They are opened, scanned and sent to you, with the paper kept on file. Notices reach companies through the registered office and through Corppass, so both sources are checked together. A tax assessment or a compliance notice carrying a response date is the reason speed matters here.

Is the address sold on its own?

No. The registered office is one part of the Comply package. The same fee covers mail scanning, a named company secretary, AGM documents, the annual return, statutory registers, financial statements and XBRL, ECI and Form C-S. Nobody sells you the address by itself.

What is involved in moving my registered office?

A change of registered office is filed with ACRA, and the recorded opening hours go in with it. Your bank and IRAS need telling separately, since they keep their own records. Keep the old address live until the filing is through, so nothing lands at a place nobody is checking.

Check how your mail moves

Ask your current provider how letters reach you and how quickly. If the answer is vague, that is your answer. Put the same question to us and hold us to what we tell you.
