Privacy policy

Expede Tech Pte Ltd collects and uses personal data to provide corporate services. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It follows the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

What we collect

  • Identity documents for directors, shareholders and beneficial owners. We are required to collect these before we can act.
  • Contact details, including name, email address, WhatsApp number and correspondence address.
  • Company records, such as constitutions, registers, resolutions and filed documents.
  • Financial records you give us to prepare accounts and tax returns, including bank statements, invoices and payroll data.
  • Website data, limited to what our host records in server logs and any details you type into the contact form.

Why we hold it

To deliver the services you engage us for, to meet our own obligations as a registered filing agent and as an accounting practice, and to answer questions from ACRA, IRAS or another authority where the law requires us to respond.

Who else sees it

We share data with government agencies when filing on your behalf, with the software providers that host our systems, and with professional advisers where a matter needs them. We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it to marketing companies.

How long we keep it

Corporate and accounting records are kept for at least five years after the end of the engagement, because tax and company law require it. Identity records under our AML obligations are kept for at least five years after the relationship ends.

Your rights

You can ask what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used in the past year. You can ask us to correct anything inaccurate. You can withdraw consent for uses that are not required by law, though this may mean we can no longer act for you. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within thirty days.

Cookies

This site uses only what is needed to serve the pages and remember whether you chose light or dark mode. That preference stays in your browser and is never sent to us.

Terms of service

These terms apply to work we do for you unless a signed engagement letter says otherwise. Where the two differ, the engagement letter wins.

Scope and fees

Each engagement letter sets out what is included and the fee for it. Fees are quoted excluding GST. Work outside the agreed scope is quoted before it starts, and we do not begin it until you approve the quote in writing.

Your responsibilities

  • Give us complete and accurate information, and tell us promptly when something changes.
  • Review and approve documents before we file them. Directors remain responsible for the company's filings under the Companies Act.
  • Keep your own copies of records we hand over.

Our responsibilities

We act with reasonable care and skill, keep your information confidential, and tell you as soon as we become aware of an error in work we have done. Our liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the work in question, except where the law does not allow that limit.

Ending the engagement

Either side can end the engagement with thirty days notice in writing. We hand over your statutory registers, minute book and accounting records at no charge, and we file the change of corporate secretary with ACRA where that applies. Fees for work already done remain payable.

AML and KYC policy

As a registered filing agent and an accounting service provider, we are required to know who we are acting for. That obligation sits under the ACRA regime for corporate service providers and the wider anti money laundering framework.

What that means in practice

  • Identity checks on everyone involved. Directors, shareholders and anyone who ultimately controls the company, including intermediate holding entities.
  • Source of funds questions. For larger paid-up capital or unusual structures, we ask where the money comes from. It is a routine question, not an accusation.
  • Ongoing monitoring. We refresh records periodically and when something material changes, such as a new shareholder.
  • Screening. Names are screened against sanctions and politically exposed person lists before we take on the work.
  • Reporting. Where the law requires a report, we make it, and we are not permitted to tell you that we have.

We decline work where we cannot verify who we are dealing with, where the structure has no commercial explanation, or where the answers we get do not hold together. That is not a judgement about you. It is the standard every regulated provider in Singapore has to apply.
