Employment Pass pricing, without guesswork

An Employment Pass quote depends on the candidate, the role and the company making the hire. Our fee is per application and sits outside whatever MOM charges for the pass itself.

How the fee works

One fee per application, agreed before filing

MOM sets a minimum qualifying salary that rises with age and differs by sector, and it is revised from time to time. The current minimum is checked against your candidate before anything is submitted, because the number moves.

Applications are also assessed under the COMPASS framework. We name the framework and leave the thresholds off this page for the same reason. What you get is the position as it stands on the day your application is prepared.

What moves the price

What changes an application quote

Two applications for the same job title are rarely the same amount of work. The four things below are what we look at before putting a number on yours, and all four are visible from the documents.

The candidate's paper trail

A recognised degree with clean employment records is a short review. Qualifications needing third party verification, unexplained gaps in a work history and documents in another language all add hours before a single field of the form is filled in.

The hiring company's profile

MOM assesses the employer as well as the candidate, and COMPASS takes account of the workforce behind the hire. A company incorporated last month with no staff in Singapore needs a more careful submission than an established employer with a payroll history.

How many passes you are filing

One pass for a founder means one set of company declarations. Filing for a team of five reuses the same company information five times over, so the work per application drops and the quote for a batch reflects that rather than multiplying.

Whether MOM asks questions

Some applications are decided on what was filed. Others draw a request for more detail about the role, the reporting line or the company's plans here. Handling that exchange is work, and we flag a file likely to attract one in the quote.

Prices exclude GST. MOM charges its own application and issuance fees, paid to MOM and outside our quote. The decision belongs to MOM, and no firm guarantees an approval.

Common questions

What employers ask about EP costs

What salary do I need to pay for an Employment Pass?

MOM sets a minimum qualifying salary that rises with age and differs by sector, and it is revised periodically. We deliberately print no figure here, because a salary number on a website goes stale and people budget against it. The current minimum is checked against your candidate before anything is submitted.

What is COMPASS and will my candidate pass it?

COMPASS is the framework MOM uses to assess Employment Pass applications, taking account of the candidate and the employer. We name it rather than quote thresholds, because those are revised. Send the candidate details and the company profile and you get a considered view before filing, not a promise.

Do you guarantee the pass will be approved?

No, and treat anyone who does with suspicion. The decision belongs to MOM. What we control is whether the application is accurate, whether the candidate meets the current requirements before filing, and how fast a query from MOM is answered. Where a case looks weak, we say so first.

Are MOM fees included in your price?

No. MOM charges its own fees for the application and for issuing the pass, and those go to MOM. Our quote covers preparing and running the application. Both sets of numbers are set out before you commit, so nothing arrives as a surprise on an invoice.

Do I need a company before I apply?

Yes. An Employment Pass is tied to an employer, so the Singapore company is incorporated first. That creates a gap, because every Singapore company needs a director ordinarily resident here, and a founder waiting on a pass is not yet resident. A nominee director usually covers that stretch.

Send us the candidate first

Give us the role, the salary on offer and the candidate's background. You get a view on where the application stands against the current requirements before you spend anything on filing it.
