A registered office inside Comply

S$75 a month buys the Comply package, and the registered office with mail scanning is one part of it. The address on its own is not what that price is for.

How the fee works

S$75 a month is the package

Read the price line carefully. S$75 a month, or S$765 a year, is the Comply package. The registered office and mail scanning sit inside it alongside the named company secretary and the annual filings.

The address matters more than its price does. Filing deadlines and notices reach companies through the registered office and through Corppass, so a letter left in a tray for three weeks is how a small problem becomes an expensive one.

What moves the price

What changes an address quote

The address itself is a fixed part of the package. What moves is the handling around it, and whether the rest of Comply matches the company you are running day to day.

How much post arrives

A company receiving the occasional government notice costs nothing extra. One receiving supplier statements, bank correspondence and legal documents every day is a scanning operation with someone behind it, and heavy volume is priced on top of the package.

Address used for business post

The registered office is where ACRA and IRAS write to you. Printing the same address on invoices, bank forms and marketing brings in a different quantity of post altogether, so tell us at the start which of the two you intend.

Officers living overseas

Letters still land in Singapore whoever owns the company. Where every officer sits abroad, scanning has to be quick and somebody has to read what arrives and flag it, which is a service level rather than a mailbox with a key.

Whether Comply fits you

Comply assumes a company with no monthly books to keep. A trading company needing bookkeeping, GST returns and payroll belongs in Complete, and buying Comply plus a separate bookkeeper usually costs more than the package.

Prices exclude GST. S$75 a month, billed as S$765 a year, is the Comply package rather than a standalone address fee. ACRA filing charges are passed on at cost.

Common questions

What founders ask about the address

Do you sell the registered address on its own?

Not as a standard service. The Comply package includes the address, the mail scanning, the named company secretary, the annual return and the tax filings. If you want the address alone, ask, but check first whether you already need the rest of what Comply covers.

Is a PO box acceptable as a registered office?

No. The registered office must be a Singapore address that is open to the public at least three hours on each business day, and a PO box does not meet that. The requirement exists so that documents delivered to the company reach a place where a person is present.

Is my home address allowed as the registered office?

It has to meet the same test, which is a Singapore address open to the public at least three hours on each business day. The address is also recorded at ACRA as the company's registered office, so consider who ends up knowing where you live before you use it.

What happens to mail that arrives for my company?

It is scanned and sent through to you. Anything with a deadline attached, such as a notice from ACRA or IRAS, is flagged rather than added to a monthly batch. Notices also reach you through Corppass, so keeping that access working is worth as much as the address itself.

Why does the registered office matter so much?

Because it is where the consequences arrive. Filing deadlines and notices reach companies through the registered office and through Corppass, and directors who never saw the letter are still the people answering for the filing. An address nobody reads is worse than no address at all.

Ask how fast letters reach you

Ask any firm holding your registered office how they pass letters on and how quickly. If the answer is vague, that is your answer, and the test applies to us the same way it applies to everyone else.
