Singapore’s regulatory landscape is evolving again — and this time, corporate service providers (CSPs) are in the spotlight. The new Corporate Service Providers Act 2024 (CSP Act), announced by ACRA, will officially come into force on 9 June 2025, marking a significant shift in how corporate service activities are regulated in Singapore.
At Expede Tech Pte Ltd, we help Singapore businesses and corporate service firms stay ahead of such regulatory changes to remain compliant and competitive.
What Is the CSP Act 2024?
The CSP Act 2024 introduces a formalised framework to regulate entities providing corporate services, enhancing transparency, accountability, and trust in Singapore's business ecosystem.
It applies to:
Registered Filing Agents (RFAs)
Any business entity that provides corporate services as a commercial activity (e.g., company formation, filing with ACRA, etc.)
Key Effective Date: 9 June 2025
From 9 June 2025, all CSPs will be required to comply with the regulations under the CSP Act and the accompanying CSP Regulations 2025. Entities that are currently not registered with ACRA as Registered Filing Agents will have a 6-month grace period (until 9 December 2025) to register and align with the new requirements.
What Must CSPs Do to Comply?
To prepare for compliance with the CSP Act, CSPs should:
Understand the Scope – Familiarise themselves with the legal requirements outlined in the:
