Every year on 1 July, Singapore marks an important occasion that reflects the nation's resilience, unity, and commitment to national defence—Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Day. Beyond recognising the dedication of servicemen, SAF Day also highlights the strong partnership between the business community, employers, and Operationally Ready National Servicemen (NSmen), all of whom play a vital role in keeping Singapore strong.
One of the key highlights of SAF Day is the Combined Rededication Ceremonies (CRCs), an annual tradition that has been held since 1 July 1987. These ceremonies bring together NSmen, employers, business leaders, and civilian colleagues to reaffirm their commitment to Singapore while strengthening the bond between national service and the business community.
For Expede Tech, participating in this meaningful event was more than attending a ceremony—it was an honour to stand alongside fellow businesses that contribute to Singapore's continued progress and resilience.

What Are the SAF Day Combined Rededication Ceremonies?
The Combined Rededication Ceremonies (CRCs) are organised annually by various civilian partner organisations on a voluntary basis. These events provide an opportunity for Operationally Ready National Servicemen (NSmen) to reaffirm the SAF Pledge, demonstrating their continued loyalty and dedication to Singapore.
This year's ceremonies were held across four locations:
Temasek Polytechnic
Marina Bay Financial Centre
Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Suntec City Convention Centre
Each organising partner invited companies and business organisations within their respective zones to participate, creating a meaningful platform where the business community can show support for National Service while recognising the commitment of their employees who continue serving Singapore.
The ceremonies also reinforce the important role employers play in supporting NSmen as they balance military responsibilities with their professional careers.
Zone 1 Ceremony Brings Businesses Together
The Zone 1 Combined Rededication Ceremony took place at Temasek Polytechnic and was organised by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME) in partnership with Temasek Polytechnic.
The ceremony was officiated by Chee Hong Tat, who joined business leaders, employers, and NSmen in commemorating SAF Day.
A total of 191 NSmen representing 141 participating companies recited the SAF Pledge together, led by Soon Kong Yong. The collective pledge symbolised not only personal commitment but also the shared responsibility between Singapore's defence community and its business ecosystem.
A Proud Moment for Expede Tech
Among the participating companies was Expede Tech, represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Jomar Lising.
A memorable highlight of the event was the opportunity for Jomar Lising to personally meet and shake hands with Minister Chee Hong Tat during the ceremony.
For Expede Tech, this was more than a ceremonial handshake—it symbolised the company's growing commitment to Singapore's business community and its dedication to contributing positively to the nation's future.
As a corporate services provider supporting entrepreneurs and SMEs across Singapore, Expede Tech believes that responsible businesses contribute not only through economic growth but also by actively participating in national initiatives that strengthen the country's social and business fabric.
The occasion served as a meaningful milestone in the company's journey and reflected its aspiration to continue growing alongside Singapore's vibrant business community.
Supporting Businesses That Support Singapore
National Service is a cornerstone of Singapore's security and stability. Behind every Operationally Ready National Serviceman is an employer that supports their commitment to serve.
Businesses play an important role by:
Supporting employees during NS commitments
Encouraging a culture of national responsibility
Building resilient workplaces
Contributing to Singapore's long-term success
Events such as the Combined Rededication Ceremonies recognise that national resilience is built not only by servicemen, but also through partnerships between employers, organisations, and government agencies.
For SMEs especially, supporting National Service demonstrates a commitment that extends beyond commercial success.
Growing Together with Singapore
At Expede Tech, growth has always been about more than expanding services. It is about building lasting relationships with clients, supporting entrepreneurs, and contributing meaningfully to Singapore's business landscape.
Through comprehensive corporate services—including company incorporation, accounting, payroll, tax, and corporate secretarial support—Expede Tech helps businesses remain compliant, efficient, and prepared for sustainable growth.
Participating in national events like SAF Day reflects the company's broader values:

Looking Ahead
The SAF Day Combined Rededication Ceremonies remind us that Singapore's continued success depends on collaboration between individuals, businesses, and public institutions.
For Expede Tech, attending this year's ceremony was both an honour and an inspiration. Meeting leaders from government and the business community reaffirmed the importance of working together to create a stronger, more resilient Singapore.
The company remains committed to supporting local entrepreneurs, empowering SMEs through professional corporate services, and contributing positively to the nation's continued development.
As Expede Tech continues to grow, it looks forward to playing an even greater role in supporting Singapore's business community while upholding the values of responsibility, service, and excellence that SAF Day represents.
Together, businesses and communities can continue building a stronger future—for today's entrepreneurs and for generations to come.
